Security & data protection
Your plans are computed in your browser. Whatever does reach our servers stays in the EU and is never used to train AI. Here is exactly how PathSweeper handles your data.
EU hosting
Your plans and uploads are hosted on servers in the EU (Germany, Hetzner).
Encrypted in transit
Every connection runs over HTTPS/TLS.
No third-party tracking
No tracking cookies and no ad networks. Only self-hosted, IP-anonymised analytics.
Never used to train AI
Your plans and uploads are never sold and never used to train AI models.
Files auto-deleted
Uploaded CAD files are automatically deleted one hour after conversion.
GDPR-compliant
Data protection under the GDPR. No account required for the core workflow.
Your data is processed in your browser
The core of PathSweeper, the swept-path and turning-circle calculation, runs entirely in your browser as WebAssembly. Drawing paths, calibrating a site plan, and computing the swept envelope happen on your device: for the basic workflow, your plan never has to leave your computer. Data reaches our servers only when you deliberately upload a CAD file for conversion or save a project to your account.
Where your data lives
Anything you do send us, saved projects and uploaded files, is hosted on servers in the European Union (Hetzner, Germany). All connections are encrypted in transit with HTTPS/TLS.
Uploaded files
CAD uploads (DWG/DXF) are processed in isolation per request and are automatically deleted about one hour after conversion. We keep them only as long as the conversion needs them.
We never train AI on your data
Your plans, uploads, and project data are never sold and never used to train AI models, ours or anyone else’s.
Analytics without tracking
We use self-hosted, IP-anonymised analytics. No tracking cookies, no advertising networks, no third-party trackers. The core workflow needs no account and sets no marketing cookies.
Infrastructure & subprocessors
We keep the stack small and name every provider that can touch data on our behalf. Each is bound by GDPR-compliant data-processing terms.
| Provider | Purpose | Location |
|---|---|---|
| Hetzner | Hosting, database, file storage | Germany (EU) |
| Cloudflare | CDN and DDoS protection | US, EU data-protection terms |
| Stripe | Payment processing (Projekt Pass) | EU / US, SCCs |
| Resend | Transactional email | US, EU data-protection terms |
The full, legally binding list is part of our privacy policy.
For companies & public authorities
A data-processing agreement (AVV / DPA) is available on request. Projekt Pass is a one-time payment per project with no subscription and no lock-in, and you can export your work as DXF or PNG at any time.
