What the plugin does
Live preview while you drag
The vehicle, its envelope and the reach of the steering follow the cursor. You see the result before you click.
Native entities in your drawing
Envelope, wheel tracks and the vehicle body land as polylines and blocks on their own layers, ready for your plan set.
The same engine as PathSweeper Web
Ackermann kinematics, articulated vehicles and reversing, checked against AutoTURN Online reference exports.
Runs on your PC
The geometry is computed locally inside the CAD host. Your drawing never leaves your machine.
From start to dock in one click
Place the vehicle, drop the target pose into the loading bay or parking space, and the planner does the rest: a forward setup and a single reverse leg, with the swept path drawn along the way. No more drawing reversing paths by hand.
Target pose instead of path drawing
You mark where the trailer rear has to end up. The planner finds the setup arc and the reverse leg itself.
Reverse like a driver
Forward past the bay, cut toward the dock, then one continuous reverse. The way drivers learn it, not an abstract mix of forward and back.
Respects the site
Neighbouring bays, kerbs and no-go zones from your drawing stay clear. If the apron is too short, the planner says so and by how much.
Articulated vehicles included
Semi-trailers, truck-and-trailer combinations and rigid trucks, with the trailer guided along the reverse leg.
See the engine at work
The clip shows PathSweeper Web. The plugin uses the same engine and draws the same result straight into your DWG.
Supported CAD programs
The first release targets AutoCAD, Civil 3D and BricsCAD Pro. ARES Commander and Allplan follow. Tell us which program you use when you sign up, it decides what we build next.
Who it is for
Traffic planners, civil engineers, logistics and site planners who already draw in CAD and want the swept path check and the dock maneuver in the same window, with the full library of national design vehicles.
Where we stand
The plugin is in closed testing. We invite testers in small groups and ask for feedback on real projects. Beta access is free, and testers keep a say in what ships first.
FAQ
Current releases of AutoCAD, Civil 3D and BricsCAD Pro. The exact version list is published when the beta opens, and testers can tell us which release they need.
No. The swept-path engine runs inside the CAD program on your computer. Only your license check talks to PathSweeper.
The same library as PathSweeper Web: the national design vehicles from the Project Pass, plus your own custom vehicles.
Reversing into a loading dock or a parking bay from a start position you choose, with a forward setup first, for rigid trucks, semi-trailers and truck-and-trailer combinations. Double-hinged combinations such as road trains are not planned for the first release.
Nothing. Beta testers use the plugin for free during the test phase and get a say in what we build first.
